Characteristic: Compound rare earth tungsten electrode is doped with various of oxides, with excellent welding performance.
Application: Mainly as substitute for radioactive thoriated tungsten electrode and otherr tungsten electrodes.
Ceriated-Tungsten electrode:
Oxide addition: CeO2
Dopant: 1.8-2.2%
Impurities: <0.05%
Electric work function: 2.7eV-2.8eV
Color: Grey
Characteristic: Ceriated tungsten electrode, with easier arc ignition and low arc maintaining current under low current circumstances, is substituted for thoriated tungsten electrode, especially for DC welding.
Application: Applied for the welding of pipelines and small components, and discontinous welding.
Lanthanated-Tungsten electrode:
Oxide addition: La2O3 / La2O3 / La2O3
Dopant: 0.8-1.2% / 1.3-1.7% / 1.8-2.2%
Impurities: <0.05% / <0.05% / <0.05%
Electric work function: 2.8eV-3.2eV / 2.8eV-3.0eV / 2.6eV-2.7eV
Color: Black / Gold / Sky blue
Characteristic: Lanthanted tungsten electrode, which is similar to thoriated tungsten electrode with the characters of no-radioactive, excellent electric conductivitu and welding performance, high carrying capability, minimum ratio of burnt area, can be substituted for thoriated tungsten electrode, mainly used for DC welding.
Application: Mainly substitute for radioactive thoriated tungsten electrode.
Others like tungsten electrode suitable for AC welding of aluminum, magnesium, or their alloys, the tungsten electrode for military industry and aerospace industry, for carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel alloy, etc.
